NEW REGISTRAR APPOINTED FOR THE POLYTECHNIC

A new Registrar has been appointed for the Polytechnic. She is Hajiya Mariya Adamu Nyako.

The appointment followed the expiration of the tenure of Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Dadi who has served the mandatory two terms as Registrar of the Polytechnic.

Until her appointment, Hajiya Mariya Adamu Nyako was the Executive Director, Adamawa State Scholarship Trust Fund.

ADAMAWA STATE POLYTECHNIC AND STATE DIRECTORATE OF NYSC TO STRENGTHEN COOPERATION

As part of its effort to strengthen relationship with the Directorate of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC in the state, the Polytechnic is to increase the number of absorption of corps members posted to the state.

The Rector of the Polytechnic, Professor Bobboi Umar disclosed this in his office, July 1st, 2016 when the NYSC State Coordinator, paid him a courtesy visit.

Acknowledging the foresight of Nigeria’s past leaders for establishing the scheme, Professor Bobboi Umar promised that his institution will do everything possible to keep the spirit of the founders alive.

NEW REGISTRAR ASSUMES DUTY, TOURS CAMPUSES

The new Registrar of the Polytechnic, Hajiya Mariya Adamu Nyako who assumed duty,  1st December, 2016 has declared after her tour of three campuses of the Polytechnic that, the Polytechnic Management will have to find a way of addressing the deplorable nature of infrastructure in the institution.

“I have seen a lot of problems, especially in the hostels and in terms of security challenges arising from inadequate fencing especially at the main campus. We will deploy our Internally Generated Revenue, IGR to address some of the problems while we will also reach out to Government for intervention.”
