The Polytechnic has remained with only four NBTE accredited programmes 22 years after its establish in 1991 until 2013 when Professor Bobboi Umar pushed for the accreditation of additional programmes.

Indeed this development is kudos to Professor Bobboi Umar whose tenure as the Rector of the Polytechnic has been instrumental to numerous developments that have since transformed the institution into a standard Polytechnic.
